Knights, Knaves, and Liars game

Hello all,

I'm running a game that starts in a week (Monday July 30th) based on the Knights, Knaves and Liars puzzles that are featured on this site and elsewhere. Players will take on the role of a Liar, Knight, or a Knave, and attempt to deduce what roles the other players are.

There is one space still unfilled, and possibly one or two more of people who signed up a while ago but have not responded, so I'm wondering if anyone from here who is a fan of those puzzles is interested.

It's a game based on the "Werewolf" (alternately "Mafia") idea. If you've never played, here's a quick recap of a normal Werewolf game: a minority players are randomly secretly chosen to be werewolves who know each others' identities, and the game is played in alternating phases of "day" and "night". During the night, the werewolves secretly choose a player to kill (eliminate from the game), and during the day all players discuss and vote to determine by majority rule which player they think most likely to be a werewolf and lynch that player. The village (good side) wins if they kill all the werewolves; the werewolves win if they equal the number of villagers.

The Knights, Knaves, and Liars game I am running uses the mechanics of a Werewolf game by randomly assigning the roles of "Knight" "Knave" or "Liar" to each player. In all public communication, players are required to post according to the rules of their class. During the Day, all players still vote on who to lynch, but during the night anyone is free to kill any other player if they have deduced what class they are.

If anyone here is interested, the game is played on the BoardGameGeek.com web forums. You will need to register for an account on those forums in order to play. My account name is Avin; please send me a Private Message there or ask about it here if you have any questions.

Last call... I'm actually still looking for a couple extra players.

What nature would the messages take? Could you give a sample dialogue?

Re: Knights, Knaves, and Liars game

Well it filled up from regulars to the Boardgamegeek site. Feel free to browse the thread though and post here whether you think each of the participants is a Knight, Knave, or Liar!

It looks like it's turning out pretty well.
