Re: how yo access the problems I've post

Ady,
I've noted your presence often here, thought you had a good 'handle' on Perplexus.

Click my name for profile, find my email and tell me your story. We'll work from there.

Yes!! We seem to have an issue, your name does not appear under the Site Statistics. Anything posted should sow there and doesn't!

Re: how yo access the problems I've posted

According to Ady TZIDON's profile on Perplexus, I see only four problems posted: "BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST (in Numbers)"; "A square (in Numbers)"; "my house's number (in Numbers)"; and,
"The odds stay unchanged (in Just Math)".

Ady, did you submit more than these four?

Re: how yo access the problems I've post

Ah! I was thinking Ady had "posted" some problems and was wondering what had become of them. That he couldn't see them seemed strange as 1. he had to have been competent enough to have gotten beyond "novice".

Now it is clear. Firstly Ady seems to want to know "How do I track the progress of my puzzles in the queue?"

This information is available to each of us by going to "Your problems" and select the "Problem" link associated with the problem being investigated. In the header above the notes is an indication of where the problem lies.

I feel that there is a second issue in the question too. "What happens when JM's see the puzzle in the queue?"

Ten puzzles come to our forum which we consider. Issues broadly deal with it already being represented on Perplexus (a similarity to one on-site may be allowable however), grammatical presentation, difficulty, choice of category, and any other guidance deemed necessary. If the puzzle gets it 3+ TUs a scholar will in due course make it public. Naturally while your puzzle is waiting its 3 TUs other puzzles may get their rating first. These may be posted, at the earliest opportunity but they may be held in an attempt to spread the general type of puzzles around; like we would like 5 Sudoku in a row when we have a choice of Trig, Geometry, Games, etc from which to choose.

Trust this answers both sides of what I believe was your question.

Re: how yo access the problems I've posted

Thanks, Brian and DejMar for quickly responding to my question.
However,it was poorly worded: - it should read "SUBMITTED" instead of "posted" and as such is still unanswered.

I somehow assumed that there will be a record of problems submitted by me somewhere in my profile information- and there is none.
I have recently retired from my revenue-generating activities and have ample time to take care of my hobbies (= inter alia puzzles- both solving and inventing.).
I have a vast collection of math problems , originating partly from old books, partly created by my humble self for the math corner of a professional magazyne dedicated to Electronic, which I edited here,-
and from other sources like fellows puzzle collectors , etc.
Please let me know how my puzzles rate , where can I find info about their place in the general waiting queue and where is the "Your problems" feature you referred to.
I really want to devote some time ( now that I have it) to perplexus activities and to share with others a part of my valuable collection.
So- keep me informed.
Thanks
Ady
N.B. WHY THERE IS NO "EDIT" FEATURE IN THE THREAD-CREATING PROCESS???

Re: how yo access the problems I've post

Ady,
Seems my initial gut feeling was right after all, you seemingly submitted but the problems didn't get to Perplexus.

Please send me an email and we'll sort it out that way (I cannot contact you as your email address is hidden).

I think I am aware of what has happened, but I'd like not to waste server space. OK?

Re: how yo access the problems I've post

Ady, I am wondering if you may have been a little long over posting some of those problems.

Recently I have entered comments only to find that they were not recorded. Also what I hadn't really thought about was that after those "posts" I had to re-log. Seems that if I was inactive while logged on Perplexus 'timed out' logging me off but gave no indication that had occurred. The result was that on recontacting the server I was presented with the need to login.

Could something like that have been your problem?
