Glad this site still exists!
Wow, I was trying to figure out the name of a paradox that I knew I had posted here long ago, so I did a search for "perplexus" (I couldn't remember the .info domain name), and stumbled back down the rabbit hole of this site.
I'm very happy that this site still has new puzzles, that the oft-repeated worry that the queue was going to die out (and still repeated, given some of the discussions in the other forums) has not come to pass, and that there still appear to be a bunch of people here that I remember. Guys: it's been, like, eight years. What are you still doing here?!? I kid.
Amazing how one gets out of the habit of returning to sites, and then later assumes that they must just disappear.
Anyway, hopefully I'll get back in the habit of solving puzzles again. Don't think it would make sense to wear any Scholarly robes again, though.

PS: The name of the paradox I was looking for was Curry's Paradox, from the very first puzzle I posted. |

As to reassuming the scholarly garb, any assistance in the queue would be well appreciated, and the occasional "scholarly edit" wouldn't be denied you.
As to the "pushing" of 3TU+ problems, to avoid the dual daily posting of problems as happened a few times earlier, that has been allowed to be the sole responsibility of Charlie.

My email should still work. Gmail allows "plussing" of emails -- adding "+xyz" to make email+xyz@gmail.com -- for filtering.
But no worries, I had found it. Boy, I remember how annoyed people would get at the paradoxes posted... :) |
