Use the hard work of K S better
I want to extend my appreciation to K Sengupta for all his hard work. Not only has he provided a multitude of fresh puzzles, he has been tirelessly and systematically identifying solutions to a scores of new and old puzzles alike. For puzzle by other authors, he is recording his work semi-formally, listing the solutions simply as a post, since only the puzzle author is currently allowed to post the solution formally.
Couldn't the Site Manager (levik, I presume) give KS the needed permissions to enter the solutions that he has identified _formally_ for puzzles that are unattended by their authors for a suitably long period of time? Why would this be good for the site? It would allow the "Solved/Unsolved" status of old puzzles to finally have meaning and thus allow folks to search on unsolved puzzles for extra challenges. It would make for interesting site statistics.
So, why go half way on this? Why not use the structure build into the site to make it better and let the solved puzzles be marked as solved with their clearly positioned solutions on place?
Thanks,
Steve Lord |

Re: Use the hard work of K S better
K Sengupta has been doing a great job. I have noticed that K Sengupta has been on a roll with posting the solutions to his problems. I used to post the solutions to my puzzles a lot. However, I have not posted many of my solutions recently. Should I start doing this? By the way, any Scholar can post the answers to any unsolved problem on the site.

So if KS were made a Scholar he could post the solutions he is curating in the place they belong - the solution entries. I would imagine this should happen, no? |

KS should definitely be a scholar.
Honestly, it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a couple more scholars. Charlie can ask him. Let's move this convo to library.

What is the library? Did this discussion ever continue? Thanks. SL |

OK - I found the library but no continued discussion. |
