Quick question...

I would like to submit a algorithim to the site, but I'm looking for the answer in any programming language. Not everyone is a programmer, so woiuld this not be a good one to submit?

Re: Quick question...

Submit it anyway, and if it's good, Journeymen will vote thumbs up, or if it's bad, Journeymen will vote thumbs down. You have nothing to lose by submitting it. Although, if it has to do with programming, Charlie will probably solve it within 15 minutes.

Re: Quick question...

So according to this site I cannot submit a puzzle until I reach the rank of student?

Re: Quick question...

Correct, but if you leave comments and rate problems, you will be a student in no time. Also, if you think you should be a student but still aren't, wait until the next day. It sometimes takes overnight for the rank change to register in the system.

Re: Quick question...

Usually Algorithms is for algorithms instead of programming, so a problem that requires a "trick" (like a special function or whatever) wouldn't pass this criteria. If it's a good algorithm (see the problems in there for examples) then it may be passed anyway.

Because of so many duplicate problems, looking at the site (especially the bonus problems that come up) is a good idea because many of the common problems are already on the site (though we do keep finding common ones that aren't on here)
