Please help me with a problem!
Not intended as a posted puzzle, but my friend somehow cracked this thing. He then passed it on to me. I thought I could do it, but after an evening of trying, I still haven't got a clue. What's the trick or formula behind it? Anyone?

If someone solved this problem for you, someone else would want their problem solved, and then somebody else would want their problem solved, etc.
