Problems solvers are generally wise

I have observe the site that the number of people that visit this site is within the range of 28 to 100. Let's assume that the average is 30 people. It is irrational to assume that everybody could spend his whole day in this site. Let's multiply 30 by 3 to assume that there are three different groups of people that visit this site and there are morning, afternoon and at night during my time zone. Thus, we arrive at 90 people per day.

During the time when I sleep, the estimation of people is within the range of 40 to 60. Let's assume the average of 40. We then multiply 40 by 3 for morning, afternoon and night sessions for their time zone. Thus, we arrive at 120 people per night.

The total number people

(Continuation)
The average people that visit this site is (90+120) = 210.

The total number of people that could provide a correct answer could be 10. Thus, the percentage of people that could solve the problem is 10/(90 + 120) = 4.76%.

Let's assume that a certain question is toughest and only a person could provide a correct answer successfully. Thus, the percentage of people that could solve that problem is 0.4762%.

With the percentage of 4.76% and 0.4762%, do we not treat those problems solvers to be the smartest people in world-wide.

Nevertheless, those people, that could only solve the problems and yet could not create problems, must not feel that they are inferior. They should be proud of themselves to be the smartest generally.

The number of log-ons at any given time can be inflated by web crawlers investigating the pages on the site.

Re: Problems solvers are generally wise

There is nothing anywhere within Perplexus that I know that suggests that we venerate anyone for their intellect. Perplexus is for the joy of sharing solutions to problems. At times there are solutions which have needed the insights of others to provide the stepping stone to the solution. At the same time, there have been those posting comments like they have just emerged from the Eternal Forest, they "can't see the wood for the trees", and yet the solver may use none of those thoughts.

I would be greatly surprised if anyone consciously thought about any other person's IQ! Sure, some people present some wonderful problems (of which belong to a different source), and yes there are sometimes some very creative solutions, but who is giving points for intellect; Levik somewhere notes that there are NO AWARDS. And so be it.

The only thing an IQ score measures is how well a person does on IQ tests.
