waiting
There seems to be a very long line up for puzzles waiting to be considered. Is this usually the case, or is it something thats happened recently?
I'm just a little curious and I'm wondering if I should wait and see if my first puzzle makes it or if I should try now to post others since it takes them a while to get through the queue. |

Re: waiting
Nope, it is normal... You should prepare for a two or three months wait. Figure it out: there are about 300 problems in the queue, and every week 12 are published, and maybe 3 are deleted (duplicates, for example) -- so that would mean a 20 weeks wait. However, there is a mechanism that gives priority to your first two problems (and less priority to your next two, and even less to the following two, and so on) so the waiting time is about halved, making a 10 weeks wait. If you post more, it won't hurt the current ones at the queue.
Good luck!

It's all about to change tho...
I've been thinking about this, it makes it hard for people who are not already in with the site to get in. When I get to director status there will be a system giving new members automatic promotion up the q. The front of the q will consist of one prob from each of the people who have submitted in the order they were submitted. Mutiple submittees will form a q similar to that at present, behind this piority q. Once one of their probs goes live, their next prob will enter the back of the front of the q. Also the background colour of the site will automatically change to reflect yr mood. Also the CB will b larger and Penny will be promoted to apprentice. |

Percy for president
Percy, with such good idea's, it won't take long before you are director.
A much larger CB is a must, the ranking system I don't understand, but Penny (at least) apprentice are all superb idea's. As for the backgroundcolor: what would be the color for "I am bored as hell here at work" ? |

BG colour
I suspect a subtle mixture of pale grey tones would best suit your mood. I'm still working on the software to calculate it precisely. |

Re: waiting
Maybe you should combine it with a pale green/grey colour.
BTW: did you know that Austria is the country with the highest mortality rate for people dying by falling of a cliff: 2.24 people/million/year! |

Re: waiting
...and replace God, I mean Levik as director? Blasphemy!
Actually, Percy, your queue idea is exactly the way it's done now! --Except for the fact that it's completely different.
Have a happy campaign! Extra large CB FTW! |

Re: waiting
Really? Could you explain it to me now, Goldwing?
I used to really enjoy the CB (and maybe even over-used it) but the company I work for have put a block in place to prevent the CB popping up. Anyone got any ideas how to get round this problem? I miss my daily dose of Penny humour. |

Re: waiting
Maybe if you went to the CB's URL directly, it would work. This is it:

Re: waiting
Maybe Nosher might also be able to have Administrator, depending upon how friendly the company is, allow this one pop-up.
Is that a thought Nosher? |
