Knights Liars etc.
I am developing a problem that is an extension of the Knights Knaves Liars genre. Knights are always truthful, Liars always lie and Knaves strictly alternate. My puzzle involves a fourth class that lie or are truthful at random. Is there already a name for that class? Or are there any suggestions? |

I know there are some problems that specify that the knaves in that particular problem don't strictly alternate, but you want to go a step further and have some people who alternate, and some people who don't. That sounds like an interesting idea to me. I don't have any good suggestions, though. |

Re: Knights Liars etc.
There is no real standard here for truth patterns other than those set by Knights, Liars, and Knaves. I think you could come up with whatever name that suits your purpose.
I picked Rebel for people who lie randomly, as long as their pattern did NOT resemble that of a Liar, Knave, or Knight. |

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. At this stage I am going with "Rebel" as the class who lie randomly. I'll change if there are any strong feelings suggested by other puzzlers. |

Good idea! Howabout introducing politicians who always lie but belive they are telling the truth and evil giant robots who always tell the truth but believe they are lying? |

How about a class called "Philosopher" who only makes paradoxical statements?
