Solve this one for me ..
No! This is not a trivial riddle.
I don't have a script for either.
I do have a question.
It's answer has much to do with how Perplexus develops, not so much as how we who are current here perceive it, but how those 'juniors' might be frightened off!
Someone comes on with a riddle, a homework question, a question about: " Today I was trying to do but ..... "
We have kids clearly visiting for chat. Some have a riddle, or maybe a genuine homework difficulty.
Certainly this site is not set up to offer such.
Are there feelings that a forum be created for such issues? Obvious not all of us are going to go there to see the problem and then provide direction to the answer.

I see three possibilities:
1. Levik will not support this - we continue to get this material
2. We do not support this, but ask levik to afford some form of advice when persons register to come on-line, ie: Yes, I have read ..
3. This is accepted, but a Forum is devoted to this for those of us who are on-line at the time might respond. A "beeper" might be attached to a link just above the chatterbox to indicate that a new entry was made to that forum.
*** Then I am thinking, why do we even bother. We do elect to register here for our personal interaction, even that they be at 'neuron' length.
Food for thought. |

Re: Solve this one for me ..
are you saying that "juniors" should not have the opportunity to read puzzles or riddles try to use their brains to figure them out? I agree that this should not be a chatting website, but in some cases, I think it will help them with their logic skills. |

Re: Solve this one for me ..
I do not recall the exact context that provoked me to write the above except that it was in response to dark thoughts as to how I was reading the treatment of various levels of puzzles, and the use being made of CB and the New Users forum.
No, I am not against "juniors" coming here. My career, now closed, was precisely in nurturing and fostering young minds.
I had in mind that, if there was sufficient support, Levik might be approached with a proposition in which we are not dealing with puzzles posted in forums [nagging about our protocol], that the Chatterbox be seen as a forum to pass asides about puzzles, and that maybe a more accommodating space be offered to genuinely address the younger folk - "I Got a Problem" Forum. Any one of us, as a registered member could then provide comment, advice, whatever, as we do in any other forum.
Yours and other reponses are welcomed.
