Milestone(s)

Looking at site statistics today, I noticed that we have 998 problems posted on perplexus. That means tonight it will hit 999, and tomorrow - an even thousand.

That's quite a milestone for our little community. Especially if you consider that the very first problem on this site was posted on March 28, 2002 - which will be two years ago on Sunday.

As we approach these two symbolic milestones, I wish to thank all the users who made it possible. Submitting and reviewing problems and solutions, commenting on and even rating problems make this site what it is, and as any webmaster will tell you, the users are everything in a community site.

We've had some interesting episodes in the past two years - Tim Axoy, Brian's password "hack", Ravi Raja's queue monopoly to name a few. Let's hope the next 2 years and the next 1000 problems will prove just as interesting :)

Re: Milestone(s)

Yay! Go us. I appreciate what you have done for us.

Ravi has been the top queue spot for a while; had the most problems, and now it is me; I am dying out since I am condensing all my problems and not submitting new ones so I won't be top queue spot for long either :)

Re: Milestone(s)

hehe, don't tell anyone there's 88 problems still in the solution queue!

Also, there are only 124 problems from the other 54 users. That means an average of less than 2 problems per person not on the top 10.

Re: Milestone(s)

Congratulations to Levik and Perplexus.... it is quite an achievement. I notice that the population/interest has been consistently going up too!

P.S. I second Sam's earlier suggestion.

Re: Milestone(s)

We probably would have had that lots later if it wasn't for the great journeymen that have been checking the solutions :)

(I went through most of my problems that had solutions and posted them!)

Re: Milestone(s)

The average of problems submited by someone not in the top ten is approximately the same as it was in the last time, about 400 problems before!
