Stuck puzzles?

For at least a week, the two puzzles I have submitted appear to have been stuck in the queue, in approximate queue positions 47 and 110. Both have a queue weight of 1.

Is it usual for puzzles to stay in the same queue position for an extended period?

Re: Stuck puzzles?

Yes, quite usual (unfortunately). The best estimate for when your problem will get to the front of the queue, for evaluation and possible posting, is the submission date. Right now, the queue is about 4.5 - 5 months back logged. (We've got a lot of problems queued up!)

Re: Stuck puzzles?

Bear up Nick! I posted one at about position 156; it came down quite quickly to 101, and I think it's been there for nigh on 3 weeks!

Re: Stuck puzzles?

It is unfortunate that that will happen. Look at the pid of the problem; that is a better indicator than the "approximate queue position"

Waiting is necessary :) The recent problems have had to wait about 6 months from me! :)

Don't let this stop you from submitting though :)

Ow, her spine must hurt, maybe that's what happens from standing up all this time.

As for puzzles, most of us apparently would think some questionable ones just can't be forgotten. *cough that sounds in a strange way like "5 digit number clone" but that couldn't be right could it?*

Re: Stuck puzzles?

Gamer, didn't you pay attention in human anatomy? The human spine is specially curved to allow them to stand up on two legs. That's why dogs can't beg forever.
Wish I had a curved spine. I'm just a smilie in a cape. (cue "Superman" song).
