Deleted Pending Problem
Hi, I had a pending problem "Seven Integers" deleted. The reason given was that a similar problem was already on the board. Could somebody please direct me to this similar problem. |

I was led to believe that a recently added feature to Perplexus is that when problems are deleted, the problem text was to be e-mailed to the author.
Bractals, did you receive an e-mail to your e-mail account on record?
Failing that, please give additional information about the problem, and perhaps someone will be able to point you in the right direction. |

Yes I received an email. What I would like is a link to the similar problem on the board. Here is a different wording of the problem:
You have N objects whose weights are the integral values 1 through N in grams. You want to weigh each object with a balance scale and a seven piece weight set (whose weights are also integral values in grams). In a weighing you can only use the object to be weighed and at most three weight set pieces. The weight set pieces can be placed in either the balance pan with the object to be weighed or the other pan. Your problem is to determine the weights of the of weight set pieces so that N is maximized. |
