Toolbar in Posting and Editing Problems
There was a time when there was a toolbar to assist with the formatting of the text of a document, including Mathematical symbols.
I wanted to use features of that today but have been unable to access it. I am using Netscape as my default browser so I went to IE and still do not find it.
I am more than ready to concede that there maybe corruptions (definitely not from malicious input eg; virus).
Does that property still exist or has it been removed?

I too do not see the handy dandy toolbar. The View Source box is also gone. I suppose the window that is there now is just View Source and there is no other mode since they show you the preview.
I always had trouble with that toolbar anyways. The sqrt, or sum symbols never worked. maybe that's why they got rid of it. |

Re: Toolbar in Posting and Editing Problems
The html codes translated into the right symbols when submitted, and the right symbols were turned into strange symbols when submitted again (though editting and such)
I prefer the old toolbar to the new one. I just want to do simple things with the comments and having to press shift-enter and other similar things seems to stop any cool things I learn. |

Re: Toolbar in Posting and Editing Probl
I use mozilla firefox, and I haven't been missing the toolbar. The view source check box is still there along with all the symbols, bold, italics, underline, etc.
I can tell you, I wouldn't mind so much to lose the toolbar. Symbols sometimes don't work, and even more annoying is that occasionally the copy/paste functions don't work! It also exhibits other quirky behavior: sometimes the arrow keys don't work, sometimes enter skips a line, other times it doesn't. |

Re: Toolbar in Posting and Editing Probl
OK! So, my system, while in dire need of maintenance, is not letting me down.
OK! What about WatchLists? Have any of you set up some of these to relate to specific problems? The concept is to let you see comments specific to individual problems, much like the new daily replies or comments in the menu of the Perplex.info window.
When I go to my Watchlist I find that I cannot add new problems to my list. If I look at a puzzle and choose to add it to my WatchList, that facility seems to have gone too.
(I have downloaded firefox for installation after my maintenance program). |

Re: Toolbar in Posting and Editing Probl
Watchlist!! No! The feature is still there; I was just too hasty in doing other things that I overlooked it, probably because I thought that it had existed else where. |
