Solution Error

There appears to be a simple typo/arithmetic error in the solution to "Prime Time Revisited."
(11+47)=29 not 49.
Can anyone (eg Scholars or Director) change such errors? Should I post a comment; petition Levik; or ignore the whole thing?

Re: Solution Error

Vernon, I think that Levik is the only one who can change things once they reach that level of passage. Once I did an almost 'double' post, felt that it gave a wrong intent and asked Levik to delete the one that I felt was 'offending' [had nothing to do with bad manners, etc, ..] To this he complied.

As an interim, I'd go to the problem, and post a comment to the effect of the error, and in your ask of Levik, have him remove that comment after he adjusts the solution.

As part of that, I'd give Levik the url address eg pid = xyz etc. That would certainly make life easier at his end.

Re: Solution Error

Re-reading, I haven't checked, but I'm thinking that this puzzle was not 'penned' by you.

This would take on a different protocol -

Tristan may have some advice here. In attempting to cater for problems posted as 'unsolved', he set up a team to match, in rather loose language, how well some of these had been solved.

He was suggesting posting solutions for that had been solved but no official solution had been posted by the author.

He (and other scholars) may be able to transact this, but my feeling is that it is passed to a level of the administrator, and therefore ... Levik

Re: Solution Error

The solution was SilverKnight's. As active as he once was, he hasn't appeared for a few months. I posted the solution, but I missed this error. Thanks for pointing it out. The only way to fix it is to petition Levik, which I'll go ahead and do now.
