While I cannot help further, you are still free to pretend that a problem is unsolved (don't review prior comments) and post your own comments/solution. This happens regularly, and since there are no merit points that is not an issue, you still get to make your claim to the fame of posting a solution. What is good however is to find that your solution was either a deviation of another or completely different.
