Probability Question--VERY IMPORTANT plz

What is the minimum number of people needed in a room to have over 50% probability that there are two people with the same birthday? For the purpose of this riddle, assume the year has 365 days (no February 29).

Re: Probability Question--VERY IMPORTANT

Please don't put puzzles in the forum, it is unfair on all the members who post their puzzles in the correct manner.
Also, the puzzle you have put here is already on this site, check out this link.

You could search through the forum. :) If you have a problem, just look through the archives and it should be easy to find :)

Re: Probability Question--VERY IMPORTANT plz

I believe it should be: 365 + (365/2) + 1 (to get over 50 %)
Answer: 548.5 persons - one ought to be split in half ;D, round it up to 549 and I think this is the right answer.

Re: Probability Question--VERY IMPORTANT plz

Um, Actually Gamer, if there are any more people in the room than there are days
in a year(365) than some two people would HAVE to have the same birthday and
therefore the number has to be less than 365.
