Red, like a cherry, Gold like the sand,
Green like the grass, all over this land.
Pivotal pools two directions they seek,
Strong on deception, with no cover I'm weak.

What am I?

Not sure, but I think it is a mirror. It reflects colors(first 2 lines) it is like a pool of water(line 3) a funhouse mirror(part 1 of line 4) and mirrors are easy to break(part 2 line 1)
