It's in the Cards (Posted on 2006-04-06) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Some playing cards are being divided into two piles according to a certain rule.

Pile A has

A A♣ 7 9♠ 3♣
while Pile B has
A 8 4♠ K♣ 10

In which pile should the Q be placed according to that rule?

The rule is "One card goes on Pile A, the next on Pile B, and so on", so the Queen should go on Pile A.

(This is sort of a gordian solution, isnīt it?)
