Using the information given below, place the letters A to I inclusive in a 3x3 grid given above, such that no square is vacant and each square contains a different letter.
  1. E is to the right of C.
  2. A is to the right of G which is above B, which is to the left of F.
  3. I is above D which is to the left of G.
Note: "Above/below" refers to two letters in the same column. "Left of / right of" refers to two letters in the same row.

G is included in two horizontal clues, providing one complete row, DGA.
Since I is above something in this row, and B is below something in this row, then DGA must be the middle row.
So far:
I
DGA
 B

Since B is to the left of F:
I
DGA
 BF

Now, since E is to the right of C, they must be in the same row; only the top row has room for two.
