Solution: (Hide)
a KISS solution:
(x-1)^2 is positive unless x=1
x^2-2x+1>0 , divide by x, assuming it's not zero:
x+1/x > 2

Since one term in the problem is reciprocal of the other and none of them is 1 or zero - the statement is true.
