A long day of chess (Posted on 2018-01-31) Difficulty: 2 of 5
A: B did not win in half the games we played to-day and I did not win in two-thirds of them.

Given that the only the first and the last games ended in a draw,
how many games were played?
In how many games B was the winner?

1/2 + 2/3 = 7/6, so nobody won in 1/6 of the games.

If there were two draws, then there were 12 games.

B won in 12 * 1/2 = 6 games
A won in 12 * 1/3 = 4 games.
