Choosing a game (Posted on 2018-12-25) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Two elderly ladies were arguing what game should they select:
w2 or w3.
Neither was aware that w1=w2/w3 makes a nice alphametic.

w1 is a word defining the number of rounds to be played.
w2 has 8 letters, incl 5 distinct consonants
w3 has 5 letters, incl 4 consonants.

It is up to you to restore the puzzle and to solve it.

The letter y is considered a consonant.

The difficulty with this puzzle is not only the alphametic but also the uncertainty of the words. There are, potentially, many differents alphametics inside here.

I began supposing that, in attention to the age of the ladies the w2 could be Monopoly. But what about the w3? There are some games with 5-letters and four consonants: chess, craps, rummy... there are also a lot of different games in the world.

And what about w1? It could be, runs, play(s), hand(s), turn(s) and other words. I didn't find a definition on dictionary... This I say not to complain but to say that I felt lost in this puzzle.

As I have chosen to follow the Monopoly track I picked up "play" as w1 because it give more margin to other letters.

I tried with Excel but non very successfully. Just one result more or less fitting, but non the intended one. This is what I found

MONOPOLY/PLOPS=PLAY
Plops is a game, but few people know it

Anyway in numerical terms:
45852510/21527=2130
