Tilted drum (Posted on 2020-06-12) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A cylinder drum with an open top and a height of 90cm is filled to the top with 210L of water. What is the remaining volume of water when the drum is tilted 10 degrees with the vertical?

For present purposes, the given volume is only important to the radius of the cylinder: sqrt(7/(3pi)).

Then from ASA the height of the cylindrical cut is 2sqrt(7/(3pi))sin(10)

So V= pi*(7/(3pi))*sqrt(7/(3pi))sin(10), or around 0.349 l for the cylindrical cut, leaving 209.65 l still in the 'drum'
