This puzzle was created maybe a year ago and to recover the “official” answer I had to dig deep in my memory and in  2 cases - even solve it anew.

Here some remarks, hints and semi- spoilers:
@SH. only the last song in your list slightly tickled a small bell in my brain, but I would accept any of your suggestions if they exist and fit the format. However my songs are definitely less esoteric and widely known.  All of them were composed in USA or UK , in English and performed worldwide, the 3 letter words are :  and, the, God.

If no solution will be found for b).  replace 3 by 4 - that was probably my typo, other than that all codes were checked out; and both versions will be accepted,
I hope that you will be able to complete the list without ideal husband and maybe somebody will chip in a token or two.
