Your Ducky Number (Posted on 2003-11-07) Difficulty: 3 of 5
For many years now Baron Günnstefen has gone to a lake every day to hunt ducks. Every day starting on August 1, 2000, he says to his cook: "Today I shot more ducks than two days ago, but fewer than a week ago." For how many days can the baron say this?

(Assume he is never lying.)

You are correct, the word 'consecutive' is never used in the puzzle. However, it does say that he made the statement every day starting on August first, and that he is never lying. Therefore, it is necessary that all the days being considered are consecutive, even if that word is not used.
