They don't! That's all I am going to say on the scholar issue. You can look in the forums under "Flooding problem revisited" for more information about why the scholar's and journeymen don't get this extra advantage.
I also thought it wasn't too hard after I saw it, but only after I saw it. Maybe we could make it 4/5? I don't know...
