What percentage of the circle is shaded? (The quadrangle shown in the picture is a square with one of the vertices in the circle's center.)

some thoughts on the puzzle

The shaded portion has an area of (1/4)* Area of the circle.
Consequently, precisely 25% of the circle is shaded.
