A clock's minute hand has length 4 and its hour hand length 3.

What is the distance between the tips at the moment when it is increasing most rapidly?

As I stated if both hands are the same length the length of the unknown segment is 0. If my methods are incorrect how was I able to come up with SQRT(7) = 2.64575? This is the same answer other posts using calculus came up with.
