A Family Gathering (Posted on 2004-03-31) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Four people are sitting around a campfire after a long day of recreation, when one man comments: "Do you realize that around this campfire, the four of us include a mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle and a couple of cousins"?.
If everyone is related by blood (with no unusual marriages) how is this possible?

let A be the father. his sister B is the mother. let C be the A's daughter and D be B's son. so there is a father, mother, A and B are brother and sister, C is the daughter and D is the son, C is B's niece and D is A's nephew. C and D are cousins. C could also be the son and D could be the daughter
