The riddle I tell people is long;

They seem to listen well.

For if it's not listened to by them,

They'll see the things I tell.

This might be one expert jest,

Yet friendly to viewers it is;

In this zippy type of poem

The word I wish for is ...

I don't think Gamer is the author of this one. Victor Zapana is the author.

Also, the poem with my ending would not rhyme as badly as you indicate. Signs in American Sign Language are not pronounced aloud. The poem would end with an eloquent, Zen-like gesture, rather than a long awkward phrase (which the deaf would not have heard anyway).
