I die half my life and live the rest.
I dance without music and breathe without breath.

What am I ?

Perhaps a tree?
A tree will be "alive" in the spring and summer and "dead" in the fall and winter.  It can "dance" in the breeze or wind.  It can also breath without a "breath" for there is no visible inhaling and exhaling when a tree takes in carbon dioxide.
