A few facts about the male population of Smallvile:

• No two male residents of Smallville have the same number of hairs on their heads.
• No male resident of Smallvile has exactly 1003 hairs on his head.
• There are more male residents of Smallvile than the number of hairs on the head of any of the residents.

So how many male residents of Smallvile can there be?

Did I read that the solution is <=?  I'm wondering why we aren't thinking about the idea that there are no conditions speaking of 1004 or more hairs on a man's head.  So, there could be an infinite number of men in smallville...omitting the 1003.  A man with 1004 hairs on his head still meets the requirements.  right?
