If one stacks 10 cannonballs of diameter d in a pile (tetrahedron), what is the height of the pile?

Actually it doesn't have to be the centers. You can really pick any point in the cannonball and it would still work the same. For instance if you picked the tops of all the cannonballs then the top vertex of the imaginary tetrahedron would be the very top of the total height, then you would add 1 diameter of a bottom ball and you'd still get the same answer.
