Bacon and Eggs (Posted on 2004-09-10) Difficulty: 1 of 5
I can sizzle like bacon, I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I can be long, like a flagpole, yet fit in a hole,

What am I?

I actually didn't think it was super simple.  Talking about bacon, eggs and onions might trigger your head to think about food.  Talking about bones and legs could reinforce that (like chicken bones and legs).  I thought "fit in a hole" could mean that you eat it (your hole being your mouth that is), again because I was influenced by the food references.

I thought it was kind of neat how it played tricks on my brain and stuff to lead me astray =)
