You write

"The sequence is (X+1)^(X+1)-X^X "

in reply to Sanjay's

"I believe the next number is 776887

The sequence is (X^X)-((X-1)^(X-1))."

Why? Sanjay's formula is perfectly valid. He just calls X what you call X+1, a trivial difference due to a trivial change of variable. One could perhaps based on esthetics make some case for not writing the formula as (X-1)^(X-1) - (X-2)^(X-2), but there seems me to be no esthetic ground for preferring your formula over Sanjay's.
