I recently saw a chess match being played. After a few moves, Black was to move, and the board was exactly as at the beginning, except that the white king rook (at h1) was missing. How did Black capture it -- specifically, what was the actual move?

For the board to remain unchanged except for the missing rook, no pawns may move, so this game is mostly knights jumping around aimlessly (well, Black's knight had better aim; he hit something). One such game after White's 9th move:

1 Nf3 Nc6
2 Nd4 Ne5
3 Nf5 Nf3
4 Rg1 Ng1
5 Nd6 Nf3
6 Nf5 Ne5
7 Nd4 Nc6
8 Nf3 Nb8
9 Ng1 -

At this point Black probably resigns because this was just an exercise to see how this could be done - this would never happen in a real game.
