It's not the answer; now I know. The question should be, On what kind of surface would a square wheel function the same as a round wheel functions on flat surface? This is a science museum exhibit. There are lots of square wheeled things out there and they all ride on the same kind of path. I still like my answer. Maybe there should be a new problem, on what surface will a square wheel and a circular wheel have the same trajectory? I don't think I've precisely solved that one.
