No complicated set-up for this one! Quite simply, what number comes next and why?
2 4 6 9 11 15 20 ??

It takes two to tango!
The sequence in roman numerals runs:
II IV VI IX XI XV XX
Each number is written with exactly two letters. Then next one is XL, or 40.
