You are standing on a beach looking out into the ocean. Assuming your view is unobstructed, how far can you see?

Well i am not a Geography student and i am not if such a riddle should be out there in the first place.

how far can we see? Well,we all know that the earth is spherical. So we will only be able to look upto a certain distance and not beyond that. This is because the earth surface is actually bending at that point.
