17 15 14 13 13 14 17 23 34

17+15=32 - (18) = 14,

15+14=29 - (16) = 13,

14+13=27 - (14) = 13,

13+13=26 - (12) = 14,

13+14=27 - (10) = 17

14+17=31 - (8) = 23...

So, the last number should be 17+23=40 - (6) =34
