Can you hang a painting from two pegs, so that if you remove EITHER of the pegs, the painting will fall down?

A solution with a wire... | Comment 5 of 20 |
Assume the painting has a wire attached to the back from which it is to be hung.

Attach the two pegs to the wall.

Run a second wire between the two pegs such that that wire also runs through the loop created by the painting and the first wire attached to the painting.

Now, if either peg is removed, the second wire (the one that was attached to two pegs) can no longer support the wire attached to the painting, and the painting will drop.

Out of curiosity, how many solutions are there to this puzzle?
