I started working backwards after I saw my (non existing) progress with the normal approach.  So I googled myself a nice list of most frequent english words and started encrypting and searching them.  I also looked for words like preplexus, juggler, space(s), between, morse, puzzle.  None of them are in the problem.  The longest english word I found was 'without' on the second line, +/- under the letter r from Morse, until -. before the next space.

I guess Richard is right about trying to find a number of first words and then start looking for well known expressions.
