I agree.  That was my pondering too.  Varying resources can vary our definition of a 'word' greatly.  My sources as well vary, as I am using the internet as a resource.  One such reference which is very limited, is dictionary.com.  I also stumbled across a Webster's Unabridged dictionary on line and was not able to find some of the letter combinations suggested by the crossword solver that supposedly used that dictionbary as its reference.  I admit, much of it is my limited vocabulary though.  I did not even know the izod "word"  although I found it in the solver.  Nexo as I believe I mentioned I could only find on the net as a brand name (proper noun==>invalid).  But I made a stab.

Can you help me clarify INEZ, and EREZ, as I posted, but again only found in my solver.

As far as the problem wordings, I agree too that they are sometimes not thought....misleading...wrong.  It might be nice to have a review process in which Journeyman can suggest changes to problems prior to posting rather than just approving or disapproving them.  Some problems have had errors which were later corrected in the original posting?, as is apparent by reading the comment strings, (i.e. Seeing a question/suggestion in the comment string,  and noticing it already posted in the problem, obviously this is with older problems.)  The same is true for amplifying information, where problem seems to have been edited after the discussion strings.

Implementing this would likely require much effort, although it would be nice to be able to resubmit problems with suggested changes, but this would open up rejected problems to be resubmitted over and over without end.  Perhaps a rejected, approved, or 'suggested resubmission' in voting.
