Eight cards (Posted on 2005-06-14) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Eight cards are placed in the diagram shown below, one in each numbered cell. These are the facts:

a) There are 2 Aces, 2 Kings, 2 Queens and 2 Jacks.
b) Every Ace borders a King.
c) Every King borders a Queen.
d) Every Queen borders a Jack.
e) No Queen borders an Ace.
f) No two cards of the same kind border each other.

Pcbouhid, If I understand you correctly, you are asking us to nominate those cells in which we can positively identify the card which resides there.

Is that not so?

If that be it, then I believe that Lisa has done just that.  She has said that cells 1 to 6 can be labelled positively, but then she notes that 7 & 8 are an either or situation of being A or J; ie she has implied that she cannot be definitive about exactly which is which.

Is that not what you are looking for?
