If we assign numbers 1-26 to the letters, we get:
2, 5, 10, 17, 2, 15, 6, 25, ?.

The first differences of the first few terms are:
3, 5, 7,  -15?

That can't be right. It looks like odd numbers or prime numbers. If it's odd numbers, 17 + 9 is 26, which would be z, but it's not. If it's prime numbers, 17 + 11 is 28. Perhaps 28 wraps around to 2. Then, 2 + 13 would be 15, and so on.

So the next letter would be 25 + 23, which is 48, which, minus 26 for the wraparound, is 22. v.
