A six letter word, that when you take out its last letter, becomes half of its meaning. What word is it?

Me too, Goldwing. And I wrote exactly what you are saying now in one of my comments.

But, Bob Smith allerted to a point that we may consider: "Maybe a "six letter word" is a word made from six different letters, but not necessarily six letters long."

I think itīs time to J44 says something!
