How can this be? (Posted on 2005-12-04) Difficulty: 1 of 5
Though they never met each other, Evelyn loved George, and even she was too old for him, they carried on writing until late in life. George married in 1880. He converted to Catholicism in 1930 and during World War II he served with the Royal Marines. Partly in recognition of this, Evelyn's subsequent writings analyzed the character of that war. Her first full-length novel had been published in 1859. Evelyn died in 1966 in Somerset. She is buried in Highgate Cemetery. He died at age 62, after having published his autobiography in 1964 and lived one year longer than she did.

All these statements are true. How can this be?

how could george be 62 when he died if he was married in 1880 and published his book in 1964. assuming that he was 18 when he got married in 1880 and died after 1964 we are looking at atleast 102 years old.

Help me with this one.
