Tame, yet wild (Posted on 2005-12-20) Difficulty: 2 of 5
I drift forever with the current,
Down these long canals they've made.
Tame, yet wild, I run elusive,
Multitasking to your aid.
Before I came, the world was darker,
Colder, sometimes – rougher, true.
But though I might make living easy,
I'm good at killing people too.

Maybe it's not electricity, but electrons.  It still would fit in the larger sense of electricty.  There might be a problem with the "Before I came" part, but in either case I think the notion is that it means "before it was discovered how to put me to effective use"
