down into the depths of past
We're upturned when we're all together
so that yet some time we'll last

Some Thoughts A Possible Solution | Comment 23 of 25 |

The second line suggests time. This in conjunction with the third and fourth lines are suggestive of an hourglass.

Now the first line suggests the item which is contained by the hourglass and in terms of the fourth line it is evident that the said item assists in measuring time.

Consequently, sands in an hourglass seems to be a possible solution to the puzzle.
